Aurora Gaming PH stamped its authority on the global stage with a ruthless shutout of Indonesia’s Alter Ego, delivering a clinical 4–0 sweep to capture the M7 World Championship crown on Sunday night in Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta.
The Filipino juggernaut leaned on their trademark discipline to dismantle the home crowd favorites in the best-of-seven grand finals, reinforcing the Philippines’ unprecedented reign with a sixth consecutive M-Series world title.
Dylan “Light” Catipon carved their golden run by suffocating a gauntlet of giants, overcoming Team Liquid PH (2–1) and Alter Ego (3–1) in earlier rounds before surviving a pulse-pounding semifinal against Malaysia’s Selangor Red Giants (3–2).
The victory marks Aurora Gaming’s best performance in M-series history and delivers Edward his second world title, having previously lifted the trophy with Blacklist International during M3.
While the “DePHend” mission was a total success for Aurora, fellow Filipino representatives Team Liquid PH saw their campaign conclude in a respectable fourth-place finish following a hard-fought loss to the Selangor Red Giants.
Moonton Games also confirmed that the M8 World Championship grand finals will take place in Turkiye next year, setting the stage for another global showdown.
